As part of the worldwide event series “The Best of BMW”, introducing car models of the famous Bavarian brand to prominent customers, business partners and fans, we organized a sports event called “CATCH M IF YOU CAN”.
Automobile aficionados had an opportunity to try their skills in an exciting test drive and get important information relevant to the brand. The biggest focus was on the new generation of M sports cars, brought from Germany for this occasion.
In order to make the whole event as attractive as possible to drivers and spectators alike, it was necessary to redesign the track at the NAVAK automobile test facility in Subotište. For daytime activities, in addition to branding the entrance area with flags along one section of the track, we also created and installed an M booth featuring BMW M accessories, where participants could get all the information related to the car models.
A special challenge was to adapt the track for night time activities, which were carried out at the NAVAK Center for the first time. Lighting installations in the colors of the brand, which were set up in the driveway, were programmed to create a vault effect beneath which the cars would be passing. A LED bar and a vintage M showroom booth were set up in the close proximity of the track.-
Over the course of four days, about two hundred participants, accompanied by instructors, had an opportunity to try out the challenging race track and off-road terrain and compare all the segments that different BMW models – standard, X and M – have to offer. The whole event was covered by an attractive video and for these purposes, it was the first time that we used a “racing drone” to create the most attractive footages of the test drive.
